DIY Liquid Foundation

DIY-foundation

I’m not really in love with powder foundation. I mostly gave up on it. I would only wear it when I was dressing up. I missed my liquid.

Store-bought liquid foundations are usually filled with unpronounceable, unidentifiable ingredients. Natural liquid foundations are few and far between. Even those that are available, may contain questionable ingredients.

Making your own is SO easy. The best part is that you can customize it to exactly your skin type by the oil that you choose as your base. Add Immortelle for a makeup that improves your skin with every use!

You can find a safe mineral foundation at http://www.ewg.org/skindeep. I am in love with Afterglow Cosmetics. I learned about them when I was on the search for a brand that was completely gluten-free. I love that I can buy any product without having to worry about it containing wheat. If you want to try them out, get in touch with me to learn how you can get a free product!

The following is a recipe for a small batch of foundation. Try it out! If you love it, make a bigger batch. I’m definitely in love with my foundation again. I hope you will be, too!

DIY Liquid Foundation

2 teaspoons powdered mineral foundation
1 teaspoon facial oil (almond, fractionated coconut, avocado, etc.)
2 drops dōTERRA’s Immortelle essential oil blend

Mix powder and facial oil. Add essential oil and mix again. Add more powder or oil as needed to achieve desired consistency. Apply with a foundation brush, sponge, or clean fingers. Finish with setting powder.
